We have finished up the “INTO THE CALM” E.P. which will be free to download, we decided on having it distributed through Bandcamp so all we ask for is a valid Email address and the release is yours.  We are currently awaiting the pressed CD’s to come int he mail so all you fans of a hard copy of the album can get one.  The artwork was done by Charlene this time around and came out really cool.  I will update you on the release date when available.  Also watch the offical BF/E website for track-listing and artwork teasers.

Recently we had our track Gentle Delay on the Windows 7 site to download for free, it went well and alot of people downloaded it.   Alot of you complained that you were not able to download the track if this is you go to our website click on contact and let us know. We will send you the track through the end of February.

First off HAPPY NEW YEAR!  It is always nice to start fresh and see what we can accomplish in a new year.  If you are like me you do not plan anything you just hope to accomplish more than last year! -

If you have read any latest updates you will see we are releasing a new E.P. soon entitles “INTO THE CLAM” which will be a free download.  You can purchase a CD if you would like.  We do not have a date set for  release but it will probably be in about a month and half.

We recently had our track “GENTLE DELAY” from “MEDIA MOTEL” as a free donwlaod on the Microsoft Windows 7 Playlist webiste.  We got about 50 downloads and it was alot of fun to let people hear that track escpecially when it is free and one of my favs.

• As of  lately I have been really into Gmedia VSTi software , normally I am not really into to much really vintage sounds but this specific plug in (ODDITY) has been keeping me super busy with sound creation, there is not one preset that sounds good but if you take your time with this one you can create some monster synth sounds.

• I am wishing lately I still had my Ensoniq VFX SD synth, I recently found my old disks and still have the sequencer disk which without it the keyboard is mostly worthless, nowadays you can get them on eBay for about $300 which I do not have, oh did I mention they weight a ton!!! Like 75 pounds, not exactly a live keyboard.

• We just released “Rarities and Remixes” and it has been out for about 2 weeks now and has been very successful!  Still waiting for it to appear on iTunes and other digital sites……I will of course let you know when it does.

Hi all!

I have been routinely working on new music for our new album, getting some vocals recorded and produced and just tweaking the music, I have about 10 songs for a new album and I am not sure if I will leave it at that or not, depends on the other multitude of projects.

I have started a new band which I do not call a side project since I care for it very much, I will keep you updated on its progress and when and where you can check it out, I will be doing vocals on this and the sound of these tracks are very dark. As you know already BF/E has done some darker music but I do plan int he future to bring BF/E back to the roots and do another sythpop style album. This is just a plan no guarantees.

We have finished the demo of a new BF/E track for our 4th coming album (with vocals). What I plan to do is get everything recorded and situated and then go crazy with mixing and mastering. This is a bit different from the normal BF/E way of doing things which is record music, record vocals and wait……..SO NOW I have a bunch of tracks recorded and vocals are recorded when time permits, after they are recorded I get them in the correct placement and so on. Now of to the next track for vocals.

Vocals have been very cool for this album because we are working a bit different, Charlene has been doing most of her own recording and I have been sitting back working on demoing music and not trying to finish the tracks before vocals are laid out. Usually I try to create the whole track from beginning to end with superb quality and texture until the track would be almost be done. This time I have been taking a more normal approach and doing empty style demos and vocal then some vocal demos.

So far things have been going smooth! Work flow is going fast and we have been promoting the heck out of the remix release “MY LIFE IS ORDINARY REMIXED”. Check it out on iTunes if you have not yet heard it.

I am putting some finishing touches on the Remix and Rarities CD so look out for that soon.

Hi all!

I am a bit exhausted being in the studio lately, it has been hectic for me since I trying to push out a bunch of side projects, as you may know I am a metal lover and have taken a few years off to do BF/E. So now it is time to throw some projects together and get back to being brutal. Anyway BF/E is always number 1 but doing electro music for me does not always come natural. (although some tell me different). So in the last month I have written and recorded 10 tracks for a death metal project (not named) and I have been heavily promoting our new digital release “My Life Is Ordinary Remixed”. Charlene was in the studio doing some vocal recordings, came out well and I am looking forward to working with it.  It is a really deep vocal performance for a “She’s Left In Silence” style track so that so look out album number 4!  (Our 4th coming full length will not be released for some while but we like to keep you updated).

We are also completing our Remixes and Rarities CD which has some killer artwork and 17 tracks.  Wewww, I always wanted to do a rarities albuma nd now finally here it comes.  I imagine sometime in  November or December.  This will be released on CD and Digital distribution sites like iTunes and Verizon wireless.

Well really it is not my absolute first since I got hacked and did not back up anything

As of recent we have been in the studio getting as much done as possibly can, the reason I am doing this is so I can do some long awaited side projects in a much different genre. As of now we are awaiting the “MY LIFE IS ORDINARY” remix release to get up on iTunes, this has just been mastered here at my studio and now it is a waiting game. I will make it available when I am informed.

Second I have put together the Remixes and Rarities CD and this will be a full release, CD and digital. This is in the process of being mastered and selecting order, there are 17 tracks on this CD so there is alot to choose from. The artwork is already finished.

Third, this was kind of a secret of a release but now that I am finished with the tracks I have done 10 instrumentals for a future instrumental release which is not titled as of yet. I will be mastering this release soon, not sure yet on the date.

We have started work on our 4th studio release which will of course be worked on for the next good while and we will keep you up-to-date. As of now we have 1 track with full vocals and another track in the vein of “She’s Left In Silence”, it has some demo vocals along with killer choir synth.

Anyway this is the quick version of the original update, I think I got most of it! Since the site went down I thought I would get some of the studio updates available.
