Jayson Zahaczewsky (Miami Promoter) MEDIA MOTEL MEDIA MOTEL is the latest creation of BLIND FAITH AND ENVY featuring 10 original tracks and 5 remixes. It's a consciously heavier album that appears to be inspired by Nine Inch Nails with great live recorded guitar bits and catchy, powerful vocals. The opening song 'MY LIFE IS ORDINARY' is absolutely genius, it's an ode to young adult frustrations. The sounds are dark, rich and layered, catchy and beautiful. The vocals are sexy and purposefully engaging. 'My Life is Ordinary' is the star track. It is followed shortly after by 'Media Motel' (the album's namesake), also a brilliantly pop-hooked, guitar driven anthem about how the media has a way of controlling us. You'll find yourself wanting to get up and rock out to the danceable industrial song 'HOW IS THIS FOR ENTERTAINMENT' which features some of the best vocal work thus far by Charlene April. For all who love ballads there's the beautiful 'GENTLE DELAY' and the abstract filmic 'LOVING LAST FOR ALL.' This has some of the best remixes I have heard in a long time, very well done and thought out, they are wonderful interpretations of the original tracks! There is a wonderful flow to this album, with intelligent instrumentals that appear here and there, my favorite being 'FRAGMENTS' which is worthy of being in a hit movie. And the albums closing track 'DIMMING' is abstract, and beautiful with just a bit of melancholy piano to relax you from the wildly fun ride that is this album. lt is just another example of the diversity and talent that is prevalent in the minds of Daniel Guenther and Charlene April. This album gets five stars, and is worth buying- even if just for the amazing artwork!!!
